The new millenium, which will be controlled by engineering technology, needs especially qualified technicians who can design die & mould automatically by using updated computer-aided technique in mechanical engineering.  Die & mould is a frame which produces plastic or metallic parts where ultra precise parts are needed to be produced for various areas of the developing I.T. industry.  Die & mould procedures are more precise, with lower tolerance limits, so more precision is needed than in general machinery.  By teaching the fundamental professional theory and experiment of die & mould design, operating the practical curriculum which is required in manufacturing factories, and teaching CAD/CAM/CAE practice, the department aims to train professional technicians who can design die & mould and develop new technology.
